AntiRacism360: A Year of Learning, Dialogue and Action Against Racism

Inclusive societies are built through education, dialogue, and spaces where people can come together. These principles have guided the AntiRacism360 project throughout its implementation, empowering young people and youth workers to better understand, challenge, and respond to racism within their communities.

Implemented by Generation for Change CY, Generation 2.0 for Rights, Equality & Diversity, and YEU Cyprus, the project brought together partners from Cyprus and Greece to promote anti-racist education, strengthen community engagement, and equip young people with practical tools to become active advocates for inclusion and equality.

Over the course of the project, participants explored the different forms and impacts of racism through research activities, training programs, and community dialogue. Youth workers and young people developed new knowledge and practical skills to identify discrimination, facilitate conversations around diversity, and promote more inclusive environments within their organizations and communities.

One of the project’s key achievements was the development of educational resources designed to extend its impact beyond the project’s lifetime. Through research, reports, and the AntiRacism360: Empowering Youth for Inclusive Societies’ Toolkit, AntiRacism360 provides practical guidance and accessible resources for young people, educators, youth workers, and organizations wishing to implement anti-racist initiatives at the local level. These resources remain freely available, encouraging continued learning and community action.

Community engagement remained at the heart of the project. Throughout its implementation, AntiRacism360 created opportunities for dialogue, collaboration, and intercultural exchange, bringing together people from diverse backgrounds to share experiences, challenge stereotypes, and strengthen mutual understanding.

The project concluded with the Nicosia Antiracist Festival 2026, a vibrant celebration of diversity, creativity, and solidarity. Through music, art, educational activities, workshops, food, and community participation, the festival demonstrated how intercultural dialogue and collective action can contribute to more inclusive communities. It also provided an opportunity to present the project’s work, celebrate its achievements, and engage the wider public in conversations around equality, diversity, and anti-racism.
