CREATE Summer School 2025 for Teens
What an unforgettable summer! Too often, during the summer months, teenagers from migrant and refugee backgrounds don’t have access to the same structured, enriching opportunities as their peers, like language learning, creative workshops, sports, or even just a safe space to connect and grow. That’s exactly what motivated us to launch the CREATE Summer School for teens aged 13–18.
And now, on August 8th, we proudly celebrated the graduation of 43 incredible students who completed 100 hours of Greek language learning (A1-A2), while building friendships, confidence, and a sense of community along the way.
Throughout the summer, students from Syria, Poland, Afghanistan, Cameroon, Pakistan, and many other backgrounds came together in a vibrant, supportive space, not only to improve their Greek but also to participate in fun, engaging activities that encouraged self-expression and inclusion.
We are so proud of each and every one of you. You showed up, you grew, you supported one another, and now, with certificates in hand, you are more ready than ever to take the next step forward.
A heartfelt thank you to the parents, guardians, and shelter staff who collaborated with us throughout the summer to ensure the students could attend and thrive. Your support made a world of difference.
And of course, a massive shoutout to our supporters:
Coca-Cola HBC Cyprus, for keeping everyone refreshed, and
UNHCR Cyprus, for generously providing learning supplies that enriched the experience. This course was part of the CREATE project, co-funded by the European Union through the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF).
Coming soon! We will be announcing our CREATE Fall 2025 School, which will continue offering 100 hours of second language learning alongside recreational and educational activities. Registration details will be shared in the coming week, stay tuned!
