DigitalLingua Workshop Launches Practical Toolkit for Online Language Teaching
On the 15th and 16th of May, we held a two-day Education Expert workshop focused on the development of a practical toolkit for teaching Greek, Spanish, French, and English as a second language in digital learning environments.
During the workshop, project partners from the French Red Cross (France), Oxfam Italia (Italy), Glossomatheia (Greece), and Open Cultural Center (Spain) and their experts in language teaching came together to begin shaping a comprehensive resource that will support educators with effective tools and strategies tailored to the realities of online language instruction.
Collaborative sessions focused on defining the structure of the toolkit, including compiling effective teaching methodologies and online teaching platforms and tools, and creating a user interface. Discussions covered essential topics, including lesson planning, classroom management in digital settings, learner engagement strategies, and ethical considerations such as GDPR compliance and inclusivity.
The meeting concluded with a clear roadmap outlining the next steps, pending tasks, and deadlines. This marks a strong step forward in our goal to deliver innovative and inclusive resources for digital language education.
The workshop took place under the DigitalLingua project, which is co-funded by the EU through the Erasmus+ Program.
