"Diversity Art Festival 2025: A Celebration of Culture, Creativity, and Community
WHAT AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE!
The Diversity Day Art Festival 2025 successfully brought together people from across communities to share an evening of creativity, cultural exchange, and connection. Held at Faneromenis Square on 24 May, the festival offered a space to honour and experience diversity in all its forms that enrich life in Cyprus.
Throughout the evening, the square welcomed people of all ages and backgrounds to take part in a variety of interactive workshops, from drumming, dance, and ceramics to painting and henna art. Those sessions offered both children and adults the chance to engage, learn, and exchange skills in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
As the evening continued, a series of live performances brought diverse voices and rhythms to the stage, including Afrobeat, traditional dance, and musical acts that reflected the multicultural fabric of our communities. The festival concluded on a festive note with a DJ set featuring global sounds, bringing the day to an uplifting close.
A selection of cultural food and artisan vendors provided an opportunity to explore culinary traditions and handmade crafts from various regions. It was a pleasure to see so many people exploring and engaging in conversation throughout the space.
Thank you to everyone who attended and took part in the day. Your presence and participation helped create a welcoming environment where people could connect, reflect, and celebrate diversity together.
Special thanks also go to the artists, facilitators, performers, and vendors who contributed their time, skills, and creativity to bring the festival to life.
The festival was organized by Generation for Change CY and Visual Voices with the support of L’atelier des artistes en exil.
