Are you a migrant, refugee, or asylum-seeking woman in Cyprus looking to learn about sewing, designing clothes, and be part of a supportive community of women?

Join our free weekly sewing and tailoring sessions, designed for women of all backgrounds. Whether you are a beginner or already have some experience, these sessions welcome you to learn, create, and grow together.

🧵What the sessions offer:
⚫️ A fully equipped sewing space with machines, fabrics, and materials
⚫️22 hands-on sewing sessions led by a professional sewing instructor
⚫️5 special group sessions with an expert guest, focusing on self-care, rights, confidence, and women’s well-being
⚫️A warm, safe space to connect with other women, share experiences, and build lasting friendships
⚫️Childcare is provided during the sessions

Over the 27 weeks, you will develop skills in stitching, pattern-making, garment construction, alterations, and more – all while being part of a creative and supportive community.

The sessions will be conducted as part of the ELEVATE HERight project, which is implemented in the framework of the PREVENT program by Generation for Change CY and the Cyprus Family Planning Association. PREVENT is co-funded by the European Union, through the Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values (CERV) program, the Bodossaki Foundation, and the NGO Support Centre with a total grant amount of €2.3 million.
