Join Our 2025-2026 European Solidarity Corps Project in Cyprus
Generation for Change CY (GFC) is thrilled to announce the launch of our 2025-2026 European Solidarity Corps (ESC) program, offering a unique opportunity for young people from across the European Union to join our dynamic team in Cyprus. Over the course of up to 12 months, this program will welcome 12 committed and enthusiastic individuals aged 18-30, providing them with a platform to contribute meaningfully to our mission while gaining invaluable professional and personal experiences.
Who We Are
GFC is a grassroots, nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive society in Cyprus. Led by individuals from various backgrounds, we work tirelessly to support marginalized and vulnerable communities, including refugees, asylum seekers, and individuals from low socioeconomic backgrounds. Our mission is anchored in advocating for equity, social justice, and interculturalism, and we address these goals through three core pillars: Humanitarian Aid, Empowerment and Integration, and Awareness-raising and Advocacy.
The Role of ESC Volunteers
As an ESC participant, you will play an important role in advancing GFC’s mission. Volunteers will engage in activities aligned with our three pillars, helping us create impactful change across various initiatives. Whether supporting humanitarian aid programs, assisting with integration services and activities, or raising awareness about critical social issues, each volunteer will have the opportunity to leave a lasting impact while gaining hands-on experience in a professional nonprofit environment.
We seek young individuals with diverse interests and expertise who are ready to engage themselves and assist us in one or more of the following areas:
- Programming and Project Management
- Humanitarian Aid and Social Support
- Communications and Outreach
- Sports Initiatives for Inclusion
- Teaching (Greek, English, or ICT/digital skills)
- Research on migration and social inclusion
- Fundraising and Project Proposal Development
What We Offer
The ESC program at GFC is designed to provide a holistic volunteering experience. Selected participants will receive comprehensive support, including fully furnished accommodation, a monthly stipend of €400, travel expenses reimbursement, insurance coverage, and local transportation (bicycles or bus passes). In addition, volunteers will benefit from language support (English and Greek), ongoing training, and mentorship to ensure they are well-equipped for their roles and supported throughout their journey with us.
Why Choose Cyprus?
Located at the crossroads of Europe, Asia, and Africa, Cyprus is a country of rich cultural diversity, breathtaking landscapes, and a warm Mediterranean climate. Volunteers will not only work on impactful projects but also have the chance to explore Nicosia, the capital city, and the broader island, which offers historical landmarks, beautiful beaches, and vibrant local communities. This unique environment ensures that your volunteering experience will be both professionally rewarding and personally enriching.
