ELEVATE HERight Updates!

Our project continues to thrive as we enter the second half of our Sewing and Tailoring Sessions. These classes offer a creative and supportive learning environment where participants develop practical sewing and tailoring skills, explore garment design, and build confidence in a safe and empowering space.

We have launched our Women’s Wellbeing Workshops, focusing on women’s rights and wellbeing. Covering topics such as relationships, gender roles and stereotypes, and recognising and responding to gender-based violence, these sessions provide opportunities to connect with others while learning and reflecting.

The dedication and determination of our participants continue to inspire us. Their commitment fuels this project and strengthens our shared vision for positive change.

We also had the pleasure to welcome Mr. Kyriacos Zindilis from Hudson Cyprus Ltd during one of our Sewing and Tailoring Sessions, whose generous donation of eight sewing machines has greatly enhanced our program and expanded opportunities for our participants.

The sessions are conducted as part of the ELEVATE HERight project, which is implemented in the framework of the PREVENT program by Generation for Change CY and the Cyprus Family Planning Association. PREVENT is co-funded by the European Union, through the Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values (CERV) program, the Bodossaki Foundation, and the NGO Support Centre with a total grant amount of €2.3 million.
