In our aim to advocate for a fair and inclusive society, we work with vulnerable and marginalized communities, channeling their grievances and voices to make sure they are heard. Through advocacy and awareness-raising activities, we highlight discriminatory practice and policies as well as the tools and mechanisms available to confront these.

ELEVATE HERight
addresses Gender-Based Violence (GBV) against migrant and refugee women in Cyprus, aggravated by insufficient access to support services for survivors and at-risk populations, linguistic barriers, a systemic lack of awareness regarding rights and the topic of GBV more generally, and socio-economic vulnerabilities. These challenges are rooted in the broader issue of gender inequality within the EU, with migrant and refugee women facing increased risks of physical, sexual, and psychological violence.
Project activities target migrant and refugee women, the broader migrant and refugee community, and relevant local stakeholders, aiming to holistically influence support-system and attitudes towards concerning GBV and promote gender equality.
Specific Objectives
The project’s primary objective is to prevent and combat GBV in migrant and refugee communities through a multifaceted approach that includes facilitating access to relevant services, raising awareness about GBV within migrant and refugee communities, and fostering community and empowerment among migrant women.
