Presenting the DigitalLingua Toolkit at an International Conference
How can digital tools and artificial intelligence transform second language teaching?
Generation for Change CY participated in the 6th International Conference “Literacies and Contemporary Society: From Skills to Practices” (24-25 February 2026), where we presented the DigitalLingua Toolkit: Practical Resources for Online and Hybrid Second Language Teaching.
The DigitalLingua Toolkit brings innovation to second language education by integrating digital tools, artificial intelligence applications, and contemporary pedagogical methodologies. Designed particularly for educators working with adult migrants and learners from diverse linguistic backgrounds, the Toolkit offers practical guidance on lesson planning, online classroom management, learner engagement, assessment methods, and the integration of digital platforms into language teaching.
It provides educators with concrete strategies, tested tools, and adaptable lesson models to design inclusive and effective online or hybrid language learning environments, while also supporting learners in developing both language and digital literacy skills essential for social inclusion and participation.
A big thank you to all participants and colleagues who joined the presentation and contributed to the discussion.
To further share these resources, we will soon offer in-depth and interactive training sessions aimed at educators teaching Greek or foreign languages as a second/foreign language, as well as education professionals who wish to design and deliver effective online and hybrid language courses for adult migrant learners. The training will focus on practical skills such as digital lesson design, use of AI-supported tools, online classroom facilitation, learner engagement strategies, and inclusive pedagogical approaches.
The toolkit is funded by the EU through the Erasmus+ Program as part of the DigitalLingua project.
