Summer Greek Language School: Graduation Day
Throughout the summer, 20 teenagers committed their time and effort to strengthening their Greek, building skills that can support their participation in school, everyday life and the wider community.
For migrant and refugee teenagers, access to language learning is not simply an educational opportunity. Language shapes how a young person can follow a lesson, express themselves, build relationships and participate fully in the society they live in. Keeping this support accessible, including outside the school year, matters.
We close this summer round recognizing both the progress of our 20 graduates and the commitment it took to get there. Congratulations to every student who completed the program!
As the new school year begins, so does the next chapter of CREATE. New Greek language classes for migrant and refugee teenagers will soon open, taking place every Saturday. Stay tuned!
A special thank you to Coca-Cola HBC Cyprus for providing refreshments for our students and to UNHCR Cyprus for supporting the classes with learning supplies.
The Summer Greek Language School is delivered by Generation for Change CY, partner in the CREATE project, and is co-funded by the European Union through AMIF.
