Helmi Leppänen

Biography:
Helmi is from Tampere, Finland, and holds a double bachelor’s degree in French and International Relations from the University of Aberdeen and a NOHA joint master’s in International Humanitarian Action from the University of Groningen and the University of Deusto. She draws on her interdisciplinary background, with a focus on human rights, non-discrimination, and social change. Helmi’s work centers on intercultural strategy, migrant-led integration, and strengthening migrant inclusion and agency. She is dedicated to working closely with diverse communities to challenge systemic exclusion and support the genuine participation of migrants and refugees in civil society.
