The Football for Unity project officially kicked off
The Football for Unity project officially kicked off last week and was a huge success! With a fantastic turnout, we had 25 participants join us. A massive thank you to our coaches, Digbeu Edgard Salomon and Mohamed Diabagaté, for their dedication and support. The Football for Unity project empowers disadvantaged teens, including unaccompanied asylum-seeking minors, through football training. In addition, it aims to foster their integration and promote social cohesion in Cyprus through various football activities that bring together locals, refugees, and migrants.
Through the training, we provide access to physical activity, teamwork, and personal development in a safe, inclusive space. Want to join? Practices are every Thursday and Saturday at the Strovolos Municipal Sports Centre. We welcome migrant and refugee teens, including unaccompanied asylum-seeking boys and girls aged 15-18.

Furthermore, due to the increased participation, we are in need of football shoes. If you would like to support our cause, we gratefully accept donations of football shoes in sizes 40-43.

Le projet Football for Unity a officiellement démarré la semaine dernière et a connu un énorme succès ! Avec une participation fantastique, nous avons eu 25 participants qui se sont joints à nous. Un grand merci à nos entraîneurs, Digbeu Edgard Salomon et Mohamed Diabagaté, pour leur dévouement et leur soutien. Le projet Football for Unity permet à des adolescents défavorisés, y compris des mineurs non accompagnés demandeurs d’asile, de s’entraîner au football. En outre, il vise à favoriser leur intégration et à promouvoir la cohésion sociale à Chypre par le biais de diverses activités footballistiques qui rassemblent les habitants, les réfugiés et les migrants.
Grâce à l’entraînement, nous donnons accès à l’activité physique, au travail d’équipe et au développement personnel dans un espace sûr et inclusif. Envie de vous inscrire ? Les entraînements ont lieu tous les jeudis et samedis au centre sportif municipal de Strovolos. Nous accueillons les adolescents migrants et réfugiés, y compris les garçons et les filles non accompagnés demandeurs d’asile âgés de 15 à 18 ans.

انطلق مشروع ”كرة القدم من أجل الوحدة“ رسمياً الأسبوع الماضي وحقق نجاحاً باهراً! بإقبال رائع، حيث انضم إلينا 25 مشاركاً. نتقدم بالشكر الجزيل لمدربينا، ديغبيو إدغارد سالومون ومحمد دياباغاتي، على تفانيهما ودعمهما. يعمل مشروع ”كرة القدم من أجل الوحدة“ على تمكين المراهقين المحرومين، بما في ذلك القاصرين طالبي اللجوء غير المصحوبين بذويهم، من خلال التدريب على كرة القدم. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، يهدف المشروع إلى تعزيز اندماجهم وتعزيز التماسك الاجتماعي في قبرص من خلال أنشطة كرة القدم المختلفة التي تجمع بين السكان المحليين واللاجئين والمهاجرين.
